Quality Nannies & Enrichment Programs

1.  Application Submitted to Lakeshore Nannies:  Application can be submitted online (Nanny Application) or it can be completed at Lakeshore Nannies office.  Note: The Lakeshore Nannies Interview will go much quicker if the application is completed online.

 

2Lakeshore Nannies Interview:  Lakeshore Nannies will meet with each candidate individually to discuss her background, experience, future goals, and ideal employment situation.  This session will last approximately 90 minutes.  Please call us at 847-540-5900 (IL) or 859-647-6162 (KY/OH) to schedule your Interview.

 

Interview Agenda

  • Consultation:  Lakeshore Nannies will answer any questions regarding the nanny industry and provide consultation on the best employment situation for your background and desires.

  • Childcare Assessment:  An assessment of the candidate’s qualifications will be conducted. This is required of all candidates to work with Lakeshore Nannies.

  • Employment Eligibility:  We will verify eligibility to work in the US. 

  • Video:  Brief video interview will be taken for marketing purposes.  View Video Script.

Requirements

  • Experience:  All candidates must have a minimum of 2 year experience working or caring for children.

  • References:  Each candidate is required to have 3 references that are non-family members.  All reference must be good to excellent.

  • Driver’s License & Proof of Eligibility to Work in US:  Driver’s License, Social Security Card or Work Permit will be photocopied at this time.

  • Domestic Physical:  The Department of Labor requires that all individuals providing domestic services have a domestic physical annually.  Please see attached form.

  • 18 or Older:  All candidates must be 18 or older to be eligible for placement.

3.  Reference & DCFS Check:  Lakeshore Nannies will verify all references. All candidates must have good to excellent references to be eligible to be presented to Lakeshore Nannies' clients.
 

4.  Database Entry & Presentation to Potential Family Employer:  Eligible candidate’s profiles will be matched with job requirements from prospective Family Employers.  Applications and Assessment may be presented to family employer upon request.
 

5.  Interview with Family Employer:  Family Employers will interview candidates directly.
 

6.  Formal Job Offer Contingent Upon Formal Background Check:  Family Employer makes final employment decision.  All employment contracts are between the Nanny and Family Employer, not Lakeshore Nannies.  Lakeshore Nannies will assist Nanny and Family Employer with the job offer.
 

7.  Formal Background Check:  Formal Background Check is performed on Nanny by a licensed Private Investigator.  Results are submitted to Family Employer for approval. 

 

8.  Nanny Starts New Job

 

9.  In-Home Visit & Continuous Follow Up:  Lakeshore Nannies will provide continuous follow with the Nanny and Family.
